Discover Abu Dhabi
This is the largest federal capital of the seven kingdoms which make up the United Arab Emirates.
Abu Dhabi has a varied coastline of beaches, islands and mangroves to vast deserts, modern buildings and cooling oases. Many want to see the amazing Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, with its 82 domes featuring Moroccan artwork which are illuminated to reflect the phases of the moon. Inside you can see the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet and amazing crystal chandeliers.
There’s a Ferrari themed park which has the world’s fastest rollercoaster, a waterpark and Warner Brothers World which are all on Yas Island. Mangrove National Park is 19 square kilometres of forest where you can see over 60 species of birds from Flamingos to Herons and you can explore the waterways on a Kayak. There’s the Louvre Museum and the Observation deck at 300 which are also worth a visit.
Should you still be looking for adventure after Yas Island you can explore the desert on a camel or a 4x4 and take a cruise on the Arabian Gulf.
