Louise from Andrew Earles Brough samples all-inclusive luxury cruising with Silversea.
I was lucky enough to travel onboard the Silver Moon, I embarked in Crete and sailed to Armorgos, Rhodes Town, Limassol and disembarked in Athens. From the moment I stepped onboard it was total luxury.
Silverseas service is highly personalised with a staff to guest ratio of nearly one to one. The suites are really beautiful, I was lucky enough to have one with a private verandah, to sit and have drink and canapes on an evening before dinner. They are extremely spacious including a walk-in wardrobe and a full bathroom with bath tub and walk-in shower. Your in-suite minibar is always kept full of your favourite drinks, your butler always makes sure you have everything you require.
With capacity for only 596 guests it is large enough to explore but intimate enough to make friends. I have to admit the food was exceptional and with 8 restaurants to choose from your every need is catered for including room service. I ate some fabulous cuisine from fresh lobster to tender steak, and they aim to please everyone's personal food requirements, nothing is too much trouble.
Silversea are launching The Silver Dawn which is the sister ship to the Silver Moon. The Silver Dawn also has 8 dining options including the superb Sea and Land Taste (Salt) programme, where you can experience and cook in the kitchen and sample the local dishes you have made, this was my personal favourite.
The ship has a casino, fitness centre, beauty Spa, library & boutique. Take a dip in the pool, relax in one of the whirlpools or soak up the view from one of the sunbeds.
Regardless of which ship or voyage you choose with Silversea all of them offer the best in luxury cruising.
