This Summer I traveled over to the Las Vegas, this was my second visit to Las Vegas, after 8 years what a change in the resort, we had 7 nights in Vegas after visiting New York.
Las Vegas has developed so much in 8 years and has something for everything and has much more then the gambling . I stayed in the all suite hotel Vdara, which is part of the city center complex this was on the strip with the Aria next door and the free tram to the Monte carlo. I would highly recommend staying in an MGM property as this has many advantages you are able to use all the other MGM properties facilities and sign up to their loyalty cards getting points that really do add up, in a week I had enough points for a free meal!
The best end of the strip to stay at is around the city central complex this is where you can find all the main places to eat, game and shop. The best value for money hotels are the Monte Carlo, MGM, New York New York, New Tropicana or Paris. If you want luxury I would recommend the Bellagio, Vdara, Cosmopolitan, Wynn & Encore, Venetian & Piazzio or Aria. If you are on a budget the Excalibur is a great budget choice. The north end of the strip doesn’t have a lot to offer and has older hotels such as the Circus Circus and the Stratosphere.
No Visit to Vegas would be complete without a trip up to Freemont Street, the original Vegas. The street comes alive at night with street performers, covered walkway with hourly performances and original casinos etc.
Other then the strip Vegas has so much to offer from Helicopter trips to the Grand Canyon, Hoover dam visits or hidden gem’s such as Sam’s town an independent town 30 mins from the strip but a world apart, it’s a covered town with a cowboy feel the town was developed as a place for the cowboys to collect their Stetsons and kitted out in all the cowboy regalia.
If you want to tie the knot in Vegas I have visited the chapels and can advise you the most beautiful locations on the strip to get married.
For more information on Las Vegas or combinations of Las Vegas with other places in the states just give me a call.
