Portugal

I’ve just returned from my own holiday in Albuferia in Portugal. This is the second time I have visited this resort. The hotel I chose was the Parasio de Albuferia in the heart of the resort. This resort is great for both families and couples alike being only a short walk from both the ‘strip’ in the new town and the old town. I really love this resort with the many things it has to offer from aqua parks, zoo marine and various trips to explore the beautiful coast of the Algarve. I would highly recommend a trip to the Zoo Marine as they have all sorts of marine wildlife including the option to swim with a dolphin!


The hotel I stayed in was a good hotel basic for a 4**** but in a great position for both old and new town. The beautiful Fisherman’s beach is a 20 min ride on the tourist train or around a 15 min walk, there is also an option of going to two other beaches.

Faro Airport is only 30 minutes from the resort so an ideal place to do a taxi transfer for very little money compared to a shuttle. This can easily be pre-booked with us!

Flights are available with all the low cost carries and from Leeds Bradford, Doncaster and East Midlands. Temperatures stay mild in the winter (around 20 degrees in December) and in the Summer, similar to other med countries with a usual pleasant breeze from the Atlantic Ocean.
