I flew with British Airways and was very impressed with the service on board as well as the inflight entertainment system.
The first stop on our trip was Saint Lucia, a destination I had never visited before but will undoubtedly return to! Upon arrival, we were transported to our stunning 5-star hotel, The Landings Resort and Spa. From the moment we stepped into the reception, I was blown away by the breathtaking design—high ceilings, open spaces, and a true tropical Caribbean atmosphere. The friendly staff greeted us with welcome drinks and refreshing cold towels. After checking in, we were whisked away to our rooms by buggy. I was assigned to a luxurious 3-bedroom oceanfront villa. Each room comes with a personal butler who ensures that no request is too much.
The accommodation was incredible, perfect for those traveling with family while still offering a sense of privacy. The rooms were equipped with washing machines, a fantastic convenience for longer stays—plus, your butler can even do your laundry for you! For dinner we had 2 options either the Callaloo beach bar & Grill or Suru which is the Asian fusion restaurant (you do also have the option of room service, for a call out fee). We opted for Suru. As part of the all-inclusive service, we had a variety of dining options to choose from, along with delicious cocktails and amazing desserts.
Our first morning began with beach yoga, an incredible way to immerse ourselves in the stunning surroundings and truly unwind, setting a tranquil tone for the week ahead. Our instructor, Terry, was excellent, leading the session at a pace that allowed everyone to participate and feel included. After yoga, we headed to the beach club, where breakfast was served buffet-style. I was impressed by the wide range of options available.
Following breakfast, we took a tour of The Landings Resort, exploring the different villa options, including 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units with garden, marina, or ocean views. We then visited the impressive gym, hair and beauty salon, and spa facilities. The spa left me speechless—the serene atmosphere was pure relaxation. One standout feature of the resort is its oncology program, making it the first hotel in the Caribbean to offer specialised skin treatments for cancer patients.
In the reception area, you'll find two boutiques and a café serving refreshing smoothies, iced coffees, sweet treats, and salads. There’s also an estate agency for those interested in purchasing one of the incredible villas on offer.
Next, we left the resort and made a short 10-minute journey to the BodyHoliday Resort. This unique resort is dedicated to providing a personalised wellness experience, offering a transformative journey designed to counterbalance the stresses of modern life. Nestled on a pristine crescent-shaped beach and surrounded by lush tropical gardens, BodyHoliday is the only resort that blends the enjoyment of an active beach vacation with a nearly endless array of activities, body treatments, and opportunities for exploration and personal growth.
The resort offers a variety of accommodation, including Garden View, Ocean View, Oceanfront rooms, suites, and villas. As part of the experience, guests are entitled to one complimentary spa treatment per day. Dining at BodyHoliday focuses on holistic well-being, with a menu designed around healthy living and nutrition. The meals not only nourish your body but also delight your senses. At BodyHoliday, Saint Lucia, the food is crafted using fresh herbs and vegetables from their organic gardens, along with locally sourced fish and produce whenever possible. The resort’s chefs, mixologists, and sommeliers are committed to offering creative and delicious culinary options that enhance your wellness journey. The hotel boasts six restaurants, each reflecting its core values of hospitality and well-being. These dining options provide a perfect balance of healthy meals, mindful nutrition, and satisfying indulgences.
From BodyHoliday, we took a short transfer to the stunning Cap Maison, another exquisite 5-star resort offering a variety of rooms, including garden view rooms, junior suites, private pool suites, interconnecting villas, oceanview suites with rooftop terraces, and more. With a range of board options available, from room-only to all-inclusive, guests have the flexibility to tailor their stay.
Cap Maison boasts two exceptional restaurants, each offering a diverse selection of dining options. The first, The Cliff, offers breathtaking ocean views and when lit up at night, it creates a wonderfully romantic ambiance. For a more intimate and private experience, guests can dine at the Smuggler’s Point Gazebo—an idyllic spot perfect for a romantic evening under the stars. This exclusive setting, with the gentle sea breeze and views of Martinique’s distant lights on clear nights, provides a dining experience like no other. You can also book a private Seaview breakfast for a truly special start to your day.
The second restaurant, The Naked Fisherman, is located right on the beach at Smuggler’s Cove, where guests can enjoy a laid-back "toes in the sand" experience while listening to the waves or watching the stunning sunsets. This Caribbean-style restaurant, with a state-of-the-art BBQ and grill, offers a more casual atmosphere without compromising on exceptional food. Our dinner at The Naked Fisherman was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay—simply unforgettable.
The resort also features a remarkable wine cellar, where guests can book wine-tasting classes for a truly refined experience.
One feature that truly impressed me was the hotel’s offer of complimentary helicopter transfers for guests who book a minimum of five nights—an incredible perk that adds a touch of luxury and excitement to your stay.
We then headed down to do our ATV adventure, an amazing way to see the island and some of the history it has to offer. A perfect excursion for families, couples or friends. After the ATV it was time to head back to the hotel for our hosted dinner.
After breakfast, we toured two of the most luxurious resorts in Saint Lucia—Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain. Known for having one of the best diving schools in the world, Anse Chastanet attracts many visitors specifically for its exceptional diving experiences. In addition to its onsite boutiques, stunning restaurants, and beautiful beach, the resort’s standout feature is its unique rooms, which have no windows or doors. The sanctuaries at Jade Mountain seamlessly blend the interior and exterior, offering expansive spaces where the bedroom, living area, and, in 24 sanctuaries, private infinity pools merge into one. With one open wall, guests can fully immerse themselves in the breathtaking natural surroundings directly from their luxurious suite.
Guests at Jade Mountain enjoy exclusive access to all the amenities at the adjacent Anse Chastanet Resort. Here, they can dine at a variety of beachside and hillside restaurants (including a vegan option), visit bars, boutiques, and an art gallery. The resort’s two secluded Caribbean beaches offer peaceful retreats with soft sandy shores and crystal-clear waters, just a short walk or a quick 2-minute shuttle ride away. Adventure enthusiasts can explore over 12 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, or dive into action with the PADI 5-Star scuba operation and snorkelling right off the beach. While Jade Mountain is renowned for its peaceful sanctuaries and romantic seclusion, Anse Chastanet provides the perfect contrast with its exciting activities and stunning landscapes, making for a perfectly balanced getaway.
Next, we took a boat transfer to the Soufrière dock, followed by a scenic drive to the Rabot Hotel. Rabot is an adults-only, open-air boutique hotel offering stunning views of the Pitons. This luxury retreat features 25 private lodges, a restaurant and bar, an infinity pool, and a spa. Nestled in the heart of cacao’s rainforest home within a UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s a tranquil sanctuary where the soothing sounds of nature replace the hustle and bustle of everyday life, creating an atmosphere of relaxation and inspiration like no other.
Rabot offers two distinct room types: lodges and luxe lodges, each designed for ultimate comfort and privacy. The hotel is also home to the renowned Project Chocolate, a chocolate farm where guests can pick fresh cocoa beans and craft their own personalized chocolate bars in a hands-on class. This was an unforgettable experience for us! In addition, there are pop-up stalls selling homemade rum, chocolates, and artisan goods, making it the perfect place to pick up unique gifts.
After leaving Rabot Hotel, we had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Toraille Waterfall before heading to the Sulphur Springs for the Mud Bath Experience. It was such a fascinating adventure—the mud baths were surprisingly hot, which none of us had anticipated. However, once we emerged, our skin felt absolutely incredible, making it all worth it!
We then headed back to the landings resort for dinner at leisure.
On my final morning, I enjoyed a peaceful swim in the warm Caribbean waters, followed by a delicious breakfast at the beach bar. Afterward, I made my way to Rodney Bay to explore the charming local shops and restaurants. It was the perfect way to soak in the last moments of Saint Lucia before heading to the airport for my next adventure in Tobago.
