The Florida coastline has 825 miles of white sandy beaches and it isn’t called the sunshine state for nothing. Temperatures during November to April average around 20 degrees whilst May to October reach an average of 30 degrees. With such a long coastline it is no surprise that seafood is a feature of the waterfront cafes and especially the crab. With such a long coastline it is ideal for water sports such as paddle boarding, parasailing, boating and fishing. If you want to find nature in Florida a place to visit is the Collier-Seminole State Park in Naples, located in the mangrove forest.
Clearwater is 35 miles of award winning white sandy beaches. With an abundance of arts and crafts, watersports, food and craft beers if is ideal destination for families, couples and singles. In downtown St Peteresburg you find the world-famous Dalf Museum, featuring the largest collection of artist’s work outside of Spain.
Tampa Bay is vibrant nightlife, stunning shows, a sparkling seafront plus Cuban Culture and modern buildings, Tampa Bay is warm and engaging. Your taste buds will also have a holiday here with culinary creations from Sparkham Wharf, an open-air waterfront front hall or visit the oldest restaurant in Florida Columbia Restaurant based in the Ybor City neighbourhood. Tampa Riverwalk is lovely as the sun sets as great to sit outside a local pub, drinking craft bear, before you finish the night off watching Salsa in Ybor.
Naples & The Everglades. Naples is very metropolitan, with a luxury small town feel it boasts an astounding array of restaurants, golf courses, shops and cultural attractions. Marco Island is the perfect place to see the Dolphins near the shoreline and of course there is the Everglades which is 1.5 million acres of national park. The park is made up of coastal mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods that are home to hundreds of animal species. Among the Everglades' abundant wildlife are the endangered leatherback turtle, Florida panther and West Indian manatee.
Miami the USA’s playground with a network of barrier islands, coral rock and mangrove swamps connected by manmade additions of soaring bridges, stately causeways and panoramic roads. There is the famous Miami Beach which is technically just outside Miami and Jungle Island which is located on Watson Island which has loads of activities for children to do along with the wildlife. With it’s neon signs a must see is the art deco buildings along Ocean Drive and Little Havana with its lively Latin atmosphere full of dancing on the streets, eateries, arts and crafts.
