Now more famously know for the setting of the films Shirley Valentine this small yet sophisticated island has sandy beaches, white washed cube houses and hilltop windmills, making if a perfect romantic setting. Mykonos with its cobbled streets provides a labyrinth of hidden shops and tavernas which lead down to the bustling harbour. Platis Yalios has beautiful blue waters which offer a shallow area for families to enjoy the warm seas. Ornos is close to Mykonos town and with its wide beach of course white sand edged with bars and tavernas it is an ideal base to explore this island, or to feel the sun on your skin and be in water that’s as deep as forever.
